The
Dairy Business Nutritional report provides a snap shot of your cows
current nutrition, when entering data in this report simply provide the data as requested and we will do
the rest. For the business report follow the guidelines listed below;
The Dairy Business report is designed to measure how much of that litre of milk you
produce is going to operating expenses, fixed costs and profit.
Please remember that if this is your first budget don’t worry if you are not sure about a certain number, put in your best idea and we can refine the budget a little during the year, when we process your monthly year to date reports.
Number of Cows
The amount of cows to be milked for the year, plus annual litres expected per cow. This will give us the annual production for the year.
Income
Fat and Protein, kilograms, Percentages and dollars per kilogram from your milk statement. Dollars received from Cull cows and Calves
Operating Expenses
Feed Cost grain
All purchased Grains, including Additives.
Feed Cost Hay/Silage
All purchased Hay and Silage (Excluding costs of Hay & Silage made on farm)
Shed Costs
Electricity in the Dairy, Rubberware, Dairy Supplies, cleaning materials etc...
Fertilizer Costs
All Fertilizer costs
Herd and Vet Costs
Vet Costs, Artificial Insemination, Herd Recording and Calf rearing
Pasture Renovation Costs
All Pasture and Crop Seed purchases
Sundry Costs
Labour,
excluding owner’s salary, Irrigation costs, operating lease payments,
Irrigation water costs if applicable. Vehicle & Tractor costs, Fuel, Oil
& Registration.
All contractor costs. All farm
repairs and maintenance, buildings, fences, Plant and Equipment repairs.
(Excludes Capital items in all sections, these costs go into Fixed Costs for
analysis purposes)
All Other costs are all other items not listed above or in Fixed Costs; these items are such things as rubbish removal, dog food, newspapers etc..
Fixed Costs
Farm & Heifer rearing land Leases, Agistment, administration costs, Consultants, Accountants fees, rates and Insurance all types. All other fixed costs such as Capital Works programs, equipment replacement. Interest and capital costs on all farm loans.
